To all my fellow Singaporeans, did you know that you can access the e-newspaper with your library account? Here’s how!
Psst! Please feel free to view this article on a desktop or laptop while downloading the app on the phone so that it will be easier to follow along with the article. ☺
DISCLAIMER: I am not an employee of and am not sponsored by the National Library Board (NLB) or LinkedIn. My intention is to share with you this hack! ☺
Firstly, download the app “NLB Mobile” either on Google Play or iOS.
Secondly, login with your library ID. Do check with your nearest library if you are unsure of your library ID.
Next, click on “SPH Media Newspapers”.
Then, click on “Proceed” (you will be redirected to another website).
Here, you can choose from 6 different newspaper produced by SPH.
Select the newspaper that you would like to read.
To navigate the newspaper, you can:
- double tap or pinch to zoom,
- swipe left/right to turn the pages, or
- choose a different date (when you click the center of the newspaper, you can click on the calendar icon).
Note that you can read newspapers up to 2 weeks ago. By default, the app will open the newspaper for the day that you open it.
Now, you are ready to go. The more the merrier, please feel free to share with your family and friends. Happy reading! Follow me for more tips! ☺
